PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Dry Chemical Powder (ABC-Class) are mono Ammonium Phosphate-based Powders that are generally for multipurpose use on (Class-A, B and C) Fires. These Dry Chemical Powders comes in 40% and 90%. SABS APPROVED. PRODUCT USES: - CLASS A FIRES - * Insulates Class-A fires by melting at approximately 350–400degrees F. * Class “A” fires are caused by the burning of Common Combustible Materials, such as Wood, Paper, or Trash. - CLASS-B FIRES - * The Powder breaks the chain reaction of (Class-B) Fires by coating the surface to which it is applied. * (Class-B) Fires consist of Flammable Liquid or Gas which include Gasoline, Oil, Propane, and Natural Gas. - CLASS C FIRES - * It is safe and effective for (Class-C) Fires since it is a Non-conductor of electricity. * (Class-C) Fire deals with Live Electrical Equipment and need to be put out with equipment that will NOT conduct its Energy back to the user as in the case with water. Electricity can also cause (Class-A / B) Fires. INAPROPRIATE USES: ABC Dry Chemical is inappropriate for Chlorine or Oxidizer fires. The resulting chemical reaction can cause an Explosion or a Breakdown of the chemicals Releasing Toxic Gases. Water should be used. ABC Dry Chemical is inappropriate for certain Metal Fires (Class-D) as well as Cooking oil fires (Class-K). PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Purple K is the most effective Dry Chemical in fighting (Class-B) Flammable Liquid Fires. PRODUCT USES: - Used in Military Facilities, Oil Companies and Vehicles, Safe-Quip's (Purple K) is a Dry Chemical called Potassium Bicarbonate that is NON-Conductive and NON-Corrosive, and can be cleaned up by Vacuuming, Sweeping or Flushing with water. - It's a Potassium Bicarbonate Base Dry-Chemical Fire Suppression agent used in some Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers. Most Effective Dry Chemical in fighting (Class-B) flammable Liquid Fires, and can be used against some Energized Electrical Equipment fires (Class-C). At least 5 times more effective against (Class-B) fires than Carbon Dioxide and has about twice the effectiveness of Sodium Bicarbonate Based Powders. This is due to the Larger Size of the Potassium-Ion. (Safe-quip Purple-K) Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) works by directly inhibiting the chemical chain reaction in the combustion zone of flammable liquid fires which forms one of the four sides of the fire tetrahedron (Heat + Oxygen + Fuel + Chemical Chain Reaction = Fire) This chemical reaction produces (Free Radicals) which attach themselves to the surface of the powder particles introduced into the combustion zone. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Because of their High Auto-Ignition temperatures, Cooking oil fires are difficult to extinguish. In order to extinguish these fires they need to be cooled sufficiently therefore conventional extinguishers are not as effective due to risk of flash back and re-ignition. Specialist wet chemical extinguishers are ideal for (Class-F) fires, involving Cooking Oils and Fats, such as Lard, Olive oil, Sunflower oil, Maize oil and Butter. It is extremely effective as the Wet Chemical rapidly knocks the flames out, cools the burning oil and chemically reacts to form a Soap-like solution, sealing the surface and preventing re-ignition. SAFEQUIP’S WET CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHER is specifically designed to combat fires resulting from fats and Edible Oils burning in deep fryers. It is charged with a specially formulated Wet Chemical. The extinguisher is ideally suitable for use in Restaurants, Hospitals Kitchens, Nursing Homes, Hotels, Schools, Airports, and other similar facilities. This wet chemical extinguisher reacts with Hot, Burning cooking oil or fat. When the fire extinguishing substance is applied to the burning liquid it will cool and emulsify the oil, and the flames will immediately subside.
