PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Dry Chemical Powder is divided into a (ABC-Class) and a (BC-Class). This dry chemical powder (BC-CLASS) consists of the Safe-Quip Purple K and the SODA BIC. SODA BIC TYPES: * Beta Super Flo 90% * Beta Hyper Flo 40%
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Dry Chemical Powder (ABC-Class) are mono Ammonium Phosphate-based Powders that are generally for multipurpose use on (Class-A, B and C) Fires. These Dry Chemical Powders comes in 40% and 90%. SABS APPROVED. PRODUCT USES: - CLASS A FIRES - * Insulates Class-A fires by melting at approximately 350–400degrees F. * Class “A” fires are caused by the burning of Common Combustible Materials, such as Wood, Paper, or Trash. - CLASS-B FIRES - * The Powder breaks the chain reaction of (Class-B) Fires by coating the surface to which it is applied. * (Class-B) Fires consist of Flammable Liquid or Gas which include Gasoline, Oil, Propane, and Natural Gas. - CLASS C FIRES - * It is safe and effective for (Class-C) Fires since it is a Non-conductor of electricity. * (Class-C) Fire deals with Live Electrical Equipment and need to be put out with equipment that will NOT conduct its Energy back to the user as in the case with water. Electricity can also cause (Class-A / B) Fires. INAPROPRIATE USES: ABC Dry Chemical is inappropriate for Chlorine or Oxidizer fires. The resulting chemical reaction can cause an Explosion or a Breakdown of the chemicals Releasing Toxic Gases. Water should be used. ABC Dry Chemical is inappropriate for certain Metal Fires (Class-D) as well as Cooking oil fires (Class-K). Due to the corrosive properties of ABC Dry Chemical, it is NOT Recommended for use around Aircraft or Sensitive Equipment. PRODUCTS: * 40% ALPHA MEGAFLO * 40% ALPHA HYPERFLO * 90% ALPHA DYNAFLO
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Foam is an Aerated solution which is used for fire prevention and firefighting. Foam concentrate is the full strength liquid which is diluted and processed to produce foam. The foam solution is the mixture produced by diluting foam concentrate with water before processing to make foam. - CLASS-A FOAMS - Mostly used to Fight Wild Fires. They assist in the wetting and saturation of (Class-A) Fuels with Water, which aids fire suppression and can prevent re-ignition. (Class-A) foams are available for use with Safe-Quip's range of skid units. - CLASS-B FOAMS - Best suited for putting out fires that involve Flammable Liquids. - SYNTHETIC FOAM - Provide better flow and faster knockdown of flames, but offer limited post-fire security. - PROTEIN FOAM - Biodegradable. They flow and spread Slower than Synthetic Foam, but provide a Heat Resistant foam blanket and are more durable.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Purple K is the most effective Dry Chemical in fighting (Class-B) Flammable Liquid Fires. PRODUCT USES: - Used in Military Facilities, Oil Companies and Vehicles, Safe-Quip's (Purple K) is a Dry Chemical called Potassium Bicarbonate that is NON-Conductive and NON-Corrosive, and can be cleaned up by Vacuuming, Sweeping or Flushing with water. - It's a Potassium Bicarbonate Base Dry-Chemical Fire Suppression agent used in some Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers. Most Effective Dry Chemical in fighting (Class-B) flammable Liquid Fires, and can be used against some Energized Electrical Equipment fires (Class-C). At least 5 times more effective against (Class-B) fires than Carbon Dioxide and has about twice the effectiveness of Sodium Bicarbonate Based Powders. This is due to the Larger Size of the Potassium-Ion. (Safe-quip Purple-K) Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) works by directly inhibiting the chemical chain reaction in the combustion zone of flammable liquid fires which forms one of the four sides of the fire tetrahedron (Heat + Oxygen + Fuel + Chemical Chain Reaction = Fire) This chemical reaction produces (Free Radicals) which attach themselves to the surface of the powder particles introduced into the combustion zone. This inhibits the chemical reaction forming the flame and causes the flame to cease existing. Safequip Purple K (90% Potassium Bicarbonate) is a Class BC powder and is available for use in areas such as airfields, chemical plants and refineries where superior fire extinguishing qualities are required. It is manufactured in house by Safequip along with the other Blue Crane range of SABS certified dry-chemical fire suppression agents. Safequip Purple K is one the the MOST EFFECTIVE DRY chemical in fighting CLASS B (flammable liquid) fires *Technical data sheets are available from Safequip (Pty) Ltd * Safequip Purple K is packaged in sealed buckets containing 25kg of the dry chemical powder. * The 9kg Safequip Purple K Fire Extinguisher with fire rating of 233B is SABS tested and approved in accordance with the SANS 1910 standard. * Safequip Purple K is a potassium bicarbonate base dry-chemical fire suppression agent used in some dry powder fire extinguishers. It is the most effective dry chemical in fighting class B (flammable liquid) fires, and can be used against some energized electrical equipment fires (class C fires). It is at least 5 times more effective against class B fires than carbon dioxide and has about twice the effectiveness of sodium bicarbonate based powders. This is due to the larger size of the potassium ion. - Safequip Purple K Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) works by directly inhibiting the chemical chain reaction in the combustion zone of flammable liquid fires which forms one of four sides of the fire tetrahedron (Heat + Oxygen + Fuel + Chemical Chain Reaction = Fire) Safequip Purple K is a Class BC powder and is SANS 1522 approved and is available for use in areas such as airfields, chemical plants and refineries where superior fire extinguishing qualities are required.
